Bill has exhibited both paintings and photographs on a local, regional, and national level. He continues, since retirement, to be active in both mediums. His paintings are shown at the Harbor Square Gallery in Camden, Maine, at the Portland Art Gallery in Portland, Maine, at J. Todd Galleries in Wellesley, Massachusetts, at Chatham Fine Art in Chatham, Massacusetts, and at Gallery 46 in Lake Placid, New York. Bill's paintings are in many private collections, and in the public collections of the New York State Museum in Albany; the Wyeth Laboratories in Champlain, NY; Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, Plattsburgh, NY; in various offices of MBNA (now Bank of America), and in the art collection of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.

Over the years, Bill has maintained a constant presence in both local and regional group and member shows, exhibits, and events, including the Strand Center for the Arts, the Lake Placid Center for Arts, the New York State Adirondack Visitor Center at Paul Smiths, New York, the Knox County Humane Society Arts Auction in Rockland, Maine, and the Adirondack Art Association in Essex, New York. Bill also exhibited at faculty exhibitions at SUNY Plattsburgh from 1963 through 1998.
